This was one of a series of photos i took on that day. My friend Matt was riding a hip jump at chudleigh skatepark and Si came into the photo just before it was taken, this candid shot was deliberatly taken against the sun so that the figures were silhouetted against the sky. I also used a low angle so that Matt was contrasting against the sky, this angle also gives the apperance that the subject is jumping higher and makes it more dramatic.

Gateway
This photo was taken in Chudleigh. It has been digitally manipulated using photoshop.
To create this picture i have used 3 layers each with a different contrast setting. The reason for doing this was because i wanted to create more contrast between the ground and the sky and draw your eye in towards the small tree in the centre of the horizon. I also chose to take this photo in portrait format rather than landscape format so that there is more of a lead in and the large tree frames the picture and creates a balance of shape in the picture.
